Description

Woo Product Category Discount Woocommerce enables you to apply discount based on product categories, product tags & product brand (If you’re using Product brand plugin by Woocommerce). You can also schedule discount for specific hours & dates for future using this plugin.

Product Category Discount Woocommerce

Guidelines to use this plugin:

  • After setting discount, GO TO Woocommerce >> System Status >> Tools. Then click on “Clear Transients”.
  • When scheduling discounts, you should only set hours and not minutes. i.e. you should not setup discount for 08/09/2017 13:49. It should be 08/09/2017 14:00
  • If you have just scheduled discount starting from past date, then system will check for scheduled discounts every hour. So within an hour, the discount will get applied.
  • To schedule discounts, you should use UTC timezone (NOT your local timezone). You can find it at Settings >> General >> Timezone.




Best Use:

This plugin gives you ability to offer different amount of discount to different categories. For e.g. you can offer 10% discount on Bata shoes. You can offer 5% discount on Reebok shoes.

Schedule Discounts

For e.g. You want to apply discount a day before Christmas for specific hours(lets say 3:00PM to 6:00PM) and you’re travelling for a vacation at that time. In such case, you can schedule discount for 3:00-6:00 PM and the discount will be applied automatically and you can enjoy your holiday without worry.

Exclude specific products

When you are running big discounts, its often needed to apply more or less discount to specific products ONLY even they are a part of category, brand or attribute. You can choose such products at Woocommerce >> Products >> Category Discount. They will not be considered for applying discount

How to configure the plugin on your site?

Once you purchase this plugin, follow these steps to do setup:

  1. Download plugin from thank you page OR My Account >> Downloads on our site. You should have download link there.
  2. If you are using free version, deactivate and delete it. Then, upload and activate Pro plugin on your site.
  3. On activation, you will see a warning on top, which will ask you to activate your license.
  4. Check your email which you have provided on checkout on WooExtend. It will have license key & license email details. Sometimes it can take few minutes to receive emails or check your spam folder.
  5. On your site on top of your page, you will see a warning with link, which will ask you to enter your license details.
  6. Once you activate your license, the warning should turn into green license activation message.
  7. Great! Now, you can use the plugin on your site!

How do I schedule discount?

  • Schedule discount functionality works based on UTC timezone. So, when you schedule discount on your site, you need to consider UTC timezone. You will get it from Settings >> General (Under timezone).

How to choose between minimum/maximum discount to apply when categories etc. overlap?

You can Go to Woocommerce >> Settings >> Products >> Category Discount and choose option here. Also, please take care that if you are having any discounts enabled on your store, you should deactivate it before you toggle this option on/off.

License Details

  • The license will be valid for 1 year from the date of purchasing plugin. You can renew it after 1 year.
  • 1 license entitles you for using plugin on 1 site.
  • You are eligible for updates & support for the plugin as long as license is active.

    This is a great plugin and I’m very happy to have discovered it. Originally, I found the free version which worked as expected – and then noticed the upgraded version had more options which we could use.

    For the price, it was not an issue to try it, even if it did not work. Well, it did work! And saved a lot of time.

    There was an occasion when there was a small glitch and something did not work correctly – this can happen with anything. But what was really outstanding for me was that when I submitted a support ticket, the developer replied very quickly, and was right on things to make sure the glitch was fixed right away.

    I really appreciated that as it was a critical sale we had planned to run. The developer was awesome, great communication and obviously takes pride in their work. This is a huge bonus to me and makes me very confident in looking at more of the plugins WooExtend offers, if they are something that could be useful.

    It is not unusual for a plugin to once in a while have a glitch and not work as expected – WordPress and WooCommerce updates can even cause these, which I understand. But often one is waiting for days for support to reply and help you out with other plugins.
